Cagliari, thief attempts theft at Poetto and risks lynching: saved by the police
He stole items from the Army establishment, but his movements didn't go unnoticed and the "hit" was about to end very badly
The petty thief who tried to steal some objects left next to a towel in the Army establishment at Poetto in Cagliari on Sunday morning risked being lynched.
A young foreigner - with an accomplice who managed to lose track of him - took advantage of a moment of inattention from a bather to carry away a backpack placed on the beach . But his stealthy movements were noticed by other people who were around.
Someone started screaming and the young man tried to flee towards the fifth stop. Behind him, many bathers who had every intention of not leaving the act unpunished.
Meanwhile, someone called 113. Soon, two police cars arrived on the seafront. The agents stopped the thief, to make him pay the bill with justice. But they also saved him from almost certain beating.
