The perpetrator of the aggravated theft that took place before dawn in a school in Cagliari was arrested by the Flying Squad.

During the night, a vigilante called 113 to report that the alarm system of the “De Sanctis-Deledda” school in via Cornalias had gone into action. On the spot, the agents arrived and verified how the front door had been forced. Once inside, they surprised a 39-year-old who was trying to hide in one of the clubs. He was wearing a glass-breaking hammer, three torches, a switchblade, a utility knife, several screwdrivers, and a hacksaw.

Searching the institute, the policemen also found a bolt cutter, used to force the access door. The man was accompanied to the police station.

The surveys were carried out by the Inspection Team of the Scientific Police.

The 39-year-old, moreover - due to his physical features, clothing and his limp gait - was recognized by the police as the perpetrator of another attempted theft that took place yesterday afternoon at the luggage storage "H 24" in via Roma and which was was filmed by video surveillance cameras.

The unemployed person, already known to the Police for numerous crimes against property, was then denounced for failing to comply with the preventive measures issued by the Cagliari Police Headquarters in the previous year, such as the oral notice and the Mandatory Via Sheet with prohibition to return to the municipality for three years.

Today it will undergo the direct rite.
