Two years after the untimely death of Stefano Asili , the University of Cagliari names the fencing hall of the Santa Croce di Architettura complex after the internationally renowned designer.

The commemorative plaque will be unveiled on Friday 14 July at 11.30, which will give the name to the architecture classroom dedicated to the memory of the graphic designer from Cagliari, author, among other things, of the graphics created for the 400th anniversary of the University . This was followed by the inauguration of the exhibition “Forme analogiche. Stefano Asili Design” with the best works created by Asili .

The exhibition will be open to the public and can be visited until 21 July from Monday to Friday from 17 to 19:45 and on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to 12.

The ceremony will be attended by the family of Asili, the Mayor of Cagliari, the President of the Municipal Council, the government representative in the Region and a representation of the Municipality of Carbonia.

THE PROFILE – Graduated in Physics with a doctorate in Architecture and professor of the Graphic Design laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Cagliari, Asili was an illustrator, artistic director and interior designer with numerous prizes and awards to his credit. international level . From his creative flair identity brands for important companies but also for various public bodies , works that have earned him mentions on the best specialized international magazines and awards in Italy and abroad such as that of the Council of Europe Landscape Award and the Millecanali Award and many others .

His are the logos and visual identity systems of the ISS (Higher Institute of Health), the INAF (National Institute of Astrophysics), the CNI (National Council of Engineers), the ARST (Regional Transport Company of Sardinia) and the Municipality of Cagliari.

After redesigning the visual identity of the Region of Sardinia, he was selected for the Compasso d'oro, the most prestigious recognition in world design.
