According to the municipal ordinance, it was to be closed on March 13th. All postponed. There is now a new date for the stop to cars in viale Trieste, in Cagliari : transit will be prohibited from 17 April.

The total blockade will concern the first section, from via Maddalena to via Caprera: here the redevelopment site will start, which will be added to the others opened in the city. The list is long. Among the main ones: via Roma for the square on the sea, via Dante and piazza Repubblica for the metro, viale Buoncammino for the promenade.

The revolution in the shadow of the Madonna del Carmine has already begun. The workers have already fixed the nets that prevent parking up to via Caprera, a road where the direction of travel will change: cars will be able to get off from via Mameli.

New signs also in via Roma, between via Maddalena and the junction with viale Trieste: it is already two-way. It can be taken by those arriving from Piazza Matteotti, who will come out in front of the regional councilorship for the environment. On the other hand, those arriving from the avenue affected by the intervention, which can be traveled along the stretch that, for now, remains free (from via Caprera), will have to stop at a stop sign and give priority to cars arriving from via Roma (therefore from the left).

Expected duration of the intervention? The Ser.Lu., the company that was awarded the work, has until May 2024. This, at least, says the documents of the Viability Department.
