The regional pharmacovigilance center of the University Hospital of Cagliari blows out 10 candles . The service - which operates within the Clinical Pharmacology of San Giovanni di Dio - promotes the good use of the drug among healthcare workers and citizens. Established in 2013, to celebrate its tenth anniversary it organized the conference "10 years of Pharmacovigilance in Sardinia".

The event will be held on November 17th in the Congress Hall (Block I) of the University Citadel of Monserrato, from 8.30 am and will host various experts in the Pharmacovigilance and Vaccine-vigilance sector, at a national and international level. Pharmacovigilance is the discipline aimed at identifying, monitoring and preventing adverse reactions associated with drugs and vaccines. It deals with the risks associated with pharmacological treatments in consideration of the limitations of clinical trials in detecting the complete safety profile of drugs.

The event is aimed at doctors, pharmacists and nurses and aims to spread the culture of Pharmacovigilance, awareness of the safety of drugs and vaccines and the invitation to spontaneous reporting.
