Go to the local area to reach as many people, with visual impairments or in any case in disadvantaged conditions, thanks to the Mobile Desk . It is the latest initiative of the Cagliari section of the Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired and financed by the Regional Council with the latest Stability Law. The project will start on Tuesday August 1st and will arrive in Muravera and Villasalto . Then, from September to December, it will be in Carbonia, Sanluri, Villasor and Mandas.

«We called it Sportello Mobile 2023 because - explained Commissioner Simona Trudu -, for the first time, it will be us with our organization who will reach all those who are visually impaired, regardless of the formal recognition of the status and who , despite needing support, help or even just information, they don't have the possibility to reach our headquarters or maybe they don't even know of our existence». Among the objectives of the project is the decentralization of services, assistance in preparing the many practices for the recognition of one's rights, support, including psychological support, in acquiring awareness and autonomy, social inclusion .

"We also want to reach elderly people in conditions of visual impairment - added Trudu-, who often experience a condition of isolation within communities increasingly deprived of essential services". For users who request it, the operators of the Sportello Mobile 2023 will be able to go to their homes and will still be present in the host offices from Monday to Friday for about 3 hours. From Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th August, the mobile vehicle with the consultants of the Blind Union of Cagliari will be stationed in via Speranza 68 in Muravera, hosted by the Domu Mia association. From Monday 7 to Friday 11 it will move to Villasalto in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, in collaboration with the Avra association
