The first stretch of Via Roma in Cagliari will reopen between Thursday and Friday after almost two years of construction work, with the fences removed and greenery and games in the central promenade.
«Today we are starting to lay out the signs and during the week we will reopen the first section that goes up to via Barcellona», explains the Cagliari municipal councillor for mobility Yuri Marcialis .
"Not only the new promenade with greenery and games ," adds Marcialis. "But there will also be the possibility of traveling by car along the stretch that goes from the intersection with Viale Regina Margherita-Via XX Settembre and Viale Bonaria, up to the Regional Council building."
Piazza Matteotti is also ready, the councilor announces: « Piazza Matteotti is also ready to be returned to the city after the restyling . Today we are starting construction on the historic shelter of the CTM, protected as an architectural asset by the superintendency, but the square will still be reopened within the next week».
