Cagliari, street vendors return to the streets: "Salty fines instead of refreshments"

The itinerant street vendors , those of the holidays, have returned to the building of the Regional Council with the hope of being welcomed and listened to by the Prime Minister, Michele Pais and by the group leaders of the Sardinian assembly.

«The fines for us street vendors are set at 5,000 euros, the authorities say they are "reasonable". How many sandwiches do we have to sell to pay for them?» asks Mauro Zedda, president of Ambulantando. "Furthermore, the concession to sell public areas is immediately suspended if you don't have a permit: it's unfair."
