The works in San Benedetto are a mystery. There are no signs of construction on the outside, a sign that the work has not yet begun. "The project is there," reassures the councilor for Productive Activities Carlo Serra . "Some changes have been made to the original one and it has been illustrated for some time to the commission and to the operators themselves. It will soon arrive in the Council for final approval, we are waiting for the process to be concluded and the work to begin."

The main novelty compared to the original project is the square around the market: the ring where there were pedestrians, cars and stalls for street vendors, will no longer become a completely pedestrian area, with green areas all around . It will still be "dug out" with respect to the road axis of via Cocco Ortu, Bacaredda, Tiziano and Pacinotti (as was originally planned), but it will become a mixed area, where cars and pedestrians will continue to pass.

Inside, the structure (which has six entrances between via Bacaredda, Pacinotti, Cocco Ortu and Tiziano) will host on two levels (ground floor and first floor) two hundred brand new garages, more spacious, more modern, more functional.
