“Hostage of an anti-theft device”. New protests, in Cagliari, for residents in the area of the Santa Gilla railway station. The disturbing noises arriving during the night from the headquarters of Arst, the Sardinian regional transport company, in via Posada, ruined the sleep of hundreds of people.

A frequent “phenomenon”, many complain, which often happens on Sundays and holidays, when the offices are closed. It is useless to call the operations center of the security company, based in Sassari. No targeted interventions are planned, but only inspections at pre-established times, as per the tender specifications. So, if the noise starts after the checks, it is necessary to wait for the employees to arrive in the morning, as happened today.

The problem is said to be linked to one or more alarmed doors in the building's underground parking lot. It has been going on like this since Arst moved (many years ago) to via Posada, but the company's managers have not found a definitive solution. And so the hissing of the alarm ruins the sleep of many and compromises the following day of work or study. There are those who are even considering filing a complaint for disturbing the public peace and, in the meantime, continue to raise the problem publicly. "It's a disgrace."
