Six vans in the night just passed were destroyed by a fire that broke out in the square of some commercial activities, in via Contivecchi, in Cagliari . Some vehicles were there to carry out works in that area.

The call to the fire brigade arrived at around 2.30 am: the ground emergency team "4A" from the port detachment was sent to the site, with a fire engine, and two tank trucks from the Viale Marconi headquarters.

The timeliness of the intervention prevented the flames from spreading to other vehicles parked nearby and the surrounding buildings.

When the fire was put down, at the first light of dawn, investigations were started to trace the causes: the intentional origin is not excluded.
