The memorandum of understanding signed in 2017 between the Carabinieri and the non-profit association "Women at the finish line" was renewed for another two years, founded in 2001 with the aim of promoting shared actions for the prevention and combating the phenomenon of gender-based, intra-family, assisted-person violence and persecutory acts. The headquarters are in via Monsignor Piovella 26 in Cagliari.
The protocol, signed at the "Enrico Zuddas" Barracks, headquarters of the Sardinian Carabinieri Legion, was issued to all the principals of the island's Arma to improve collaborative relationships, in order to guarantee a proximity service increasingly adhering to the delicate sector.
The Carabinieri Legion Command is committed to promoting the direct relationship between the victims of crime and the operators of the Anti-violence Center, providing them with the essential contacts for immediate or subsequent contact, informing them of the free services offered by the center itself, actively promoting awareness actions and prevention in synergy with the team. And again to maintain an active communication channel with the operators of the Anti-violence Center, of shared cases in order to better guarantee the protection of the victims, informing them for subsequent obligations, to intervene with their own means to reach the identified structures, in cases in which the woman fears for her own safety and to inform the perpetrators of violence of the intervention path aimed at their support and recovery conducted by the "Women at the finish line" association.
