According to the municipal technicians, the plant , placed in the flowerbed between two carriageways, risked falling into the cars both in the direction of Poetto and in the direction of viale Diaz and via della Pineta. For this reason, following the checks, an urgent intervention was carried out this morning.
The tree, as the Municipality explains in a note, was therefore " cut down to preserve public safety ".
"From the technical checks - it is further clarified - a yielding of the plant emerged, with movement of the clod crossed by the roots. Significant lesions were also recorded in both main branches".
"Necessary intervention - concludes the municipal administration - also in consideration of the positioning of the pine specimen between two busy roads entering and leaving the city".
