The request for the transfer of the contract for the assignment of a social housing signed by a person who died in 2021 .
It happens in Cagliari and the circumstance made AREA suspicious, the regional company that owns the property, which immediately alerted the local police.
Officers launched an investigation and identified the man who had made the request. Heard by the local police, he presented a proxy in the name and on behalf of the deceased person, who later turned out to be his brother.
Local police personnel thus seized the property, located in via Campidano, and deferred the man for the crimes of fraud and impersonation .
The operation is part of the work that the local police of Cagliari, together with AREA staff, is carrying out to map and return all untitled occupied properties to the availability of the regional body.
