The Carabinieri of the Pirri station arrested a 34-year-old homeless man, already known to the police, red-handedly, believed to be responsible for aggravated theft inside a supermarket in via Ampere, Cagliari.
The military intervened after hearing the store's burglar alarm during a patrol in the neighborhood.

Once inside, the men of the Arma surprised the man while he was trying to escape with some articles hidden in his clothes. The man was however chased, stopped and taken safely to the offices of the Station.
The personal search allowed the recovery of products of all kinds which were subsequently returned to the store manager.

At the end of the formal procedures, the arrested person was held in the security cells of the Cagliari-Villanova Station Command, awaiting the validation hearing with a direct trial scheduled for tomorrow, Monday 28 April.
