The most quoted name for the New Year's concert in the square in Cagliari , the first after years of silence imposed by Covid, is that of Blanco, the winner of the Sanremo festival together with Mahmood. Only the official is missing, but the Municipality is already organizing itself: it will be an armored and hyper-controlled party.

The budget for the main event scheduled in Largo Carlo Felice, and for the side events, should be around half a million euros. While the security costs amount to 132,500 euros. The Town Hall expects the influx of around 19,000 spectators. Predictably many will drink alcohol on New Year's Eve.

So the planned countermeasures are impressive, put on paper in the specification of the contract for the assignment of security management and the drafting of the plan.

In addition to the police, who will be at work in massive numbers, 80 men assigned to control the gates will have to be deployed in the concert area, who will also be involved in assisting and routing the spectators. Everyone must be trained and 20% must have "high fire risk certification". Also required are "8 emergency management and fire service workers".

On the street , "one hundred anti-panic barriers will be placed, in addition to 380 normal barriers of about 2 meters, for a total length of about 760 linear meters".

The danger of terrorism is not underestimated: whoever manages the procedures will have to "provide for the rental and installation of special anti-car barriers, even with the use of heavy vehicles, in the sites that will be indicated by the administration". There are 18 planned.

Possible illnesses are also taken into account. The Municipality asks to "provide for the implementation of the health assistance service, in particular by providing for the provision of at least 2 medicalized ambulances with crew and 8 non-medicalized ambulances with crew".

Also deployed "16 rescuers on foot, equipped with defibrillator and first aid backpack" and the positioning of " an advanced aid point, with doctor and nurse and an operator adequately trained for emergency management" in service from 7 pm on 31 December until the end of the show.

60 chemical toilets will also have to be placed.
