First visit to the city schools – since the beginning of the new mandate – for the mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda, who today began his passage in the institutes from Nanni Loy in via Schiavazzi. A significant choice, because it allowed him to give his vision on the prospects for the Sant'Elia neighborhood. «The projects for the new stadium and the Palazzetto dello Sport are not enough to guarantee an improvement in the quality of services for all», he points out. «For this reason, in the coming months the Casa della salute will be operational, which will make available to the inhabitants interventions of proximity medicine essential for having a better quality of life. The Neighborhood Center will also be inaugurated, as an educational center aimed at minors and families, indispensable in the neighborhood that boasts the largest number of children in the city».

Work on the Anelli park will start soon, with a recovery of about 15 million in lost funding . Also planned are improvements to public lighting and common areas, such as the Jovanotti park. The small port, which in the latest versions of the project had been conceived as a tourist port, has been restored for small-scale fishing. "The fishermen will be able to bring in and process their catch, with the possibility of starting a small restaurant business and this will become an important part of the economy for the neighborhood," continues Zedda. " The sports hall and the elimination of the physical barrier represented by Viale Ferrara will be a priority . Furthermore, the dredging of the Terramaini canal will allow the use of electric boats."

On the mobility front, "we are talking with Arst about the light rail route," the mayor continues. " It could cross Viale Ferrara, between the sports hall, the Cuore parking lot and the new stadium. In the meantime, we are thinking about a faster transport system, using buses . We will illustrate all the other interventions that also involve the Region, in particular the Departments of Labor and Public Works, together with President Todde to keep citizens informed, especially residents, and make Sant'Elia an attractive neighborhood for the entire city and for tourists."
