A flurry of checks were carried out in Cagliari on the night between Friday and Saturday, during the Halloween celebrations.
Dozens of people were identified and vehicles were checked by the Carabinieri, who were engaged in reinforced patrols in the main meeting places and along the main roads of the capital.

Attention was focused primarily on nightlife areas, where military intervention was required on several occasions to restore calm during moments of tension resulting from excessive alcohol consumption.
As happened in Piazza Matteotti, late at night, where the men of the Stampace Station intervened following the report of a violent fight.

Upon arriving on the scene, the military confirmed that, at the height of an argument, a man of North African origin had been attacked with kicks and punches by three people, who then fled.

The victim, rescued by 118 personnel, was transported to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, where he is still hospitalized , with his life not in danger.
Investigations are underway to reconstruct the precise dynamics of the events and identify those responsible.

The Carabinieri have interviewed several witnesses and are acquiring and analyzing images from video surveillance cameras in the area, which could provide useful information for the investigation.
