The judge for the preliminary investigations of the court of Cagliari has signed the release order of the regional councilor of the PSD'Az Giovanni Satta , arrested in early October as part of the investigation that revolves around the sale of an Rsa to Monastir.
According to the indictment, together with the councilor of the municipality of Cagliari Anselmo Piras and the doctor Franco Savasta, they would have tried to obtain a one million euro consultancy for the intermediation linked to the sale of the health facility. For all the hypotheses of crime are illicit trafficking of influences and, for Piras and Savasta, even attempted extortion.
Also involved in the investigation, but not the recipient of restrictive measures, was the seller of the health facility, Piergiorgio Ollano: he would have promised the sum, signing a private agreement.
Defended by lawyers Gianluca Aste and Angelo Merlini, Satta had appealed against the judge's decision not to accept the release , after a long interrogation carried out with the prosecutors Danilo Tronci and Emanuele Secci.
The hearing was set for tomorrow but today came the twist with judge Contini who accepted the defense's request and released the regional councilor. He will therefore be able to get out of house arrest and resume his activity in the Regional Council.
