Cagliari invaded by abandoned cars: over 150 removed in one year
But the number of carcasses, transformed into dumpsters in front of buildings or along the streets, is even higher.Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Last year alone, over 150 cars abandoned on public land were removed in the city. In particular, the focus was on Sant'Elia and San Michele, where the municipal administration conducted ad hoc campaigns. Yet, despite the great effort made, the fight against the phenomenon of abandonment still seems far from being won.
Just take a walk around Sant'Elia, Pirri (Santa Teresa) or via Castelli to realize this. The cars left to die on the street are still numerous. In some cases vandalized and reduced to carcasses, in others used as "storage rooms". Without license plates and filled with junk up to the roof .
Since the beginning of this year, about twenty new situations of abandoned cars have already been reported, most still in Sant'Elia.
