Rainbow and Sardinian flags with the four Moors this morning at the port of Cagliari to say "No to war".
Movements, associations and trade unions have joined the national mobilization that is also taking place in Bari, Florence, Milan, Palermo, Rome and Turin.
Hundreds of people gathered in Piazza Vittime Moby Prince, adhering to the initiative promoted by Europe for Peace, Rete Italiana Pace e Disarmo, Fondazione PerugiAssisi per la cultura della pace, Sbilanciamoci and Coalizione Assisi Pace Giusta.
From the sit-in at the port dock, a call for a ceasefire in Gaza and throughout the Middle East, as well as in Ukraine and in all armed conflicts in the world, was launched.
Also in the square were groups that oppose military exercises on the Island: "We want to clearly express our opposition to war and the language of force, responding to the national appeal of the pacifist networks - says the regional secretary of the Cgil, Fausto Durante -. Ours is an appeal for the reconversion of the war economy into a civil and peace economy".
