He arrived last night in an ambulance at the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità in Cagliari , then all trace of him was lost. Today the body of Romano Mameli , an 84-year-old from Quartu , was found lifeless in the hospital basement .
The elderly man disappeared before he could be examined by doctors. His relatives, immediately alerted, had shared an appeal on social media , with a photo, in the hope of being able to hug him again.
The man, without his wife and children, was then found in the following hours. According to his family, upon arrival at the hospital "he may not have been lucid". The police and the magistrate are on site. We need to reconstruct the dynamics of the story and understand the causes of death.
