Cagliari, thirteen-year-old hit in via dell'Abbazia: it's serious

Serious accident in the early afternoon in via dell'Abbazia, in Cagliari: a thirteen-year-old (and not 14, as initially emerged) was hit by a car while crossing the road.

His condition is serious: the arrival of a 118 ambulance was immediate and he was transported to hospital in Brotzu with a red code assigned. A Local Police patrol is on site to carry out investigations.

The driver of the car has been identified. It remains to be ascertained whether the impact occurred on the pedestrian crossing or whether, as appears from initial findings, the girl was near the crossing.
