The trial against Andrea Fenu, Paolo Malavasi and Salvatore Farci (municipal employees) and Giuseppe Ariete, representative of the Ati Santa Maria and Imera srl, will open on April 19, considered responsible for the cutting of a dozen pine trees in viale Buoncammino: an intervention which according to the prosecution was implemented (in 2020) with alteration of the bound natural beauties and in the absence of the landscape go-ahead from the Superintendency.

The investigation started from a complaint by the Legal Intervention Group . The four had already been reached by a criminal conviction decree, which provided for the payment of a 14 thousand euro fine, but they had opposed. The investigating judge thus ordered the immediate judgment and set the date for the first hearing.

The Legal Intervention Group (GrIG), which had immediately requested an account of the intervention in all offices, has been identified as an offended person and will be represented and defended by the lawyer Susanna Deiana (Cagliari Court).

The Region has also been identified as the offended person, "and we will see what activities it will put in place", they explain from the ecological association, "It is one of the first cases on an island level of cuts of city trees in the absence of environmental and cultural authorizations that ended up in the dock , after the checks and investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the Nucleus for the protection of cultural heritage".
