He found a wallet with 500 euros inside, picked it up and, aware of the sum, looked for a police officer to return it to the owner.
The protagonist of the beautiful gesture is Lorenzo, 11 years old (we omit the details at the request of his mother). The story is told by his grandmother, GS, who is proud of her grandson.
Yesterday the boy was playing football with some friends in Piazza Garibaldi, in Cagliari. At a certain point he noticed something on the ground. It was the wallet: he opened it, saw the money, but also the documents. So he decided to hand everything over to the first policeman he met.
"I think Lorenzo did the right thing," says his mother, PS, contacted by phone, almost amazed at the fact that a story like this could become news. “The owner of the wallet, to whom the agents traced it, called me to thank me,” adds the woman. Happy ending.
