For the image damage, the Guardia di Finanza will have to pay 2,500 euros. While having spent 25 minutes on the computer, while he was on duty, to access databases and snatch secret information to be disclosed to interested parties, cost him 10.33 euros. The tax damages for which the financier MP, in service in Cagliari at the material time, was convicted by the Court of Auditors, with a sentence filed on 13 December, therefore amounted to 2510.33 euros.

The facts charged, for which criminal justice has already run its course, date back to 2016. The soldier had the possibility of accessing confidential databases. And from here, for the prosecution, he had drawn news on investigations into a parking lot in Campulongu - informing the heads of the Villasimius administration -, information on proceedings against various entrepreneurs and, moreover, he had warned of an imminent visit of some company owners by the Guardia di Finanza, allowing them to comply in time.

Conducts which, according to the prosecutor's office of the Court of Auditors of Cagliari, also amounted to tax damage.

The president of the jurisdictional section, Donata Cabras, rejected the defenses of the accused. Among these, the thesis according to which the damage to the image of the Corps would have depended only on the clamor aroused by the press on the criminal matter. Furthermore, he maintained "that the choice of the plea deal was motivated by the intention of minimizing the sensational effects of the trial by reducing the involvement of the Body".

According to the judges of the Court, there was damage. And it is also linked to non-service activities carried out during working hours. But these are "worth" just over 10 euros for 25 minutes of abusive access to confidential databases.
