Cagliari, Farris: «For the operators of San Benedetto there is a million blocked in the Region»
The representative of CiviCa24: «The Municipality has never asked for the money allocated for the market concessionaires: it can be used for compensation in view of the block and the possible drop in turnover»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The money is there: one million euros. And at least part of it could be used to guarantee compensation to the traders at the San Benedetto market who will work tomorrow, March 1, and then stop for a few weeks waiting for the opening of the temporary structure in Piazza Nazzari, which is smaller and has an uncertain fate. "But the funds are in the coffers of the Region and the Municipality of Cagliari has not yet asked for them."
The complaint comes with a question from the municipal councilor of CiviCa 24 Giuseppe Farris, who urges the Department of Productive Activities to intervene.
In favor of the Municipality, explains the opposition representative at Palazzo Bacaredda, «one million has been allocated as a “contribution to the operators of the San Benedetto Market” but the funding is blocked in the coffers of the regional department of Public Works».
The dealers "will be transferred to the temporary market in Piazza Amedeo Nazzari. Not only will they be burdened by the suspension of their activity for 15 days but it is reasonable to assume that the influx into that structure, for the time needed to redevelop the San Benedetto market, will be lower, with a consequent drop in the relative turnover".
The financing, Farris claims, "at least a portion can be legitimately used to compensate the concessionaires and to promote the activity that will be carried out in Piazza Nazzari". The word goes to the Zedda Council.
