The Cagliari Police arrested a 28-year-old man red-handed for having produced a false document. The young foreigner, stopped for a check by a Flying Squad crew, in via Roma, showed the officers an electronic identity card registered to an Egyptian citizen born in 2008 , declining his personal details as reported in the document. The police noticed that there was another person in the photo, much younger by the way. And in fact, from further investigation, it emerged that the document had been lost by the actual owner, days earlier, in a municipality in the hinterland.

The officers also found a switchblade, pruning scissors and brass knuckles on the man , while inside the bag there were a tablet, various mobile phones, other identity documents registered to third parties and credit cards . All presumably of illicit origin and for which investigations are underway.

The man originally from Morocco was accompanied to the offices of the Scientific Police and subjected to photodactyloscopic tests, the results of which confirmed the false personal details because the man, already burdened by police records, had been identified as early as 2011. The facts are were subjected to the evaluation of the investigating judge who, in yesterday morning's hearing, validated the arrest, without applying any measures and granting the authorization for expulsion from the national territory.
