Thrown into the water from the dinghy they had rented, they found refuge at the foot of a cliff but due to the strong undertow they were unable to return to the port of departure.

Fear for two girls this morning in Cagliari: they were saved by the fire brigade divers, who reached them among the rocks of Cala Fighera.

The young women had rented the boat for an excursion. But they lost control, ending up in the sea. The dinghy continued its journey towards the coast, only to sink. They managed to reach the cliff using their arms and legs, but wind and waves made it impossible for them to return to a safe point.

Thus the rescue operations began: the divers from the Cagliari command swam to them to take them aboard a patrol boat from the Captaincy, which was waiting a few meters away.

The 118 doctors were on the ground and took care of them, although fortunately they only suffered a bad scare.
