The van used for a mad escape with pursuit by the police who crossed the streets of Cagliari was found in via Quintino Sella ( here the news ). Upon arrival of the agents of the Volante team, no trace of the driver, who fled on foot in the San Michele area.
The vehicle had been stolen in the early afternoon from a municipality in the hinterland. The man driving, in sight of the police, pressed his foot on the accelerator and ran away: he took some streets against traffic and damaged some vehicles parked in Corso Vittorio Emanuele in the race.
The officers who gave chase tried to maintain contact with the vehicle without putting other cars and pedestrians in danger.
The fugitive, who would have already been identified also for his precedents, thus managed to get to San Michele: now he is wanted, even by the carabinieri.
