A building evacuated for a few hours, three cars, a scooter and an apartment damaged. This is the balance of the fire, probably of an arson nature, which broke out this morning in the parking lots on the pilot floors of a building in Piazza Belgio in Cagliari.

The fire, which apparently started from a first car, broke out at 6 and quickly spread to a motorcycle and other vehicles parked nearby . A thick blanket of smoke rose from the parking lots.

The tenants realized what was happening and raised the alarm.

Fire crews and the police arrived at the scene. The building, given that the smoke reached several homes, was evacuated as a precaution.

The firefighters put out the flames and made the area safe , allowing families to return to their homes. Only one apartment on the first floor was damaged and assessments on usability are underway.

The police have launched an investigation, and forensic specialists have also intervened on the spot for the findings.
