Selections for managers and an office revolution. It all happens in two days in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, now governed by a "regent", Damiano Paolucci, after the resignation of the mayor Paolo Truzzu. A period of interregnum, awaiting the municipal elections of 8 and 9 June which will determine the name of the mayor of Cagliari, who also leads the intermediate body that supervises the territories of 17 municipalities in the capital area.

Those who expected only acts of ordinary administration were disappointed. And more than a few people in the offices on Via Cadello turn up their noses.

Heavy resolutions were passed between May 2nd and 3rd. In one, signed by deputy mayor Paolucci, we read that, «taking into account some situations relating to the management of some functions of the administration and

in view of the reform of the organization of the institution due to both the regional and national legislation in the approval phase", it is considered necessary to "approve an overall macrostructure of the institution which determines a modification of the organizational structure by groupings of competences - identified on the basis of the homogeneity and organic nature of the assigned subjects, activities and functions - defined on the basis of general criteria of integration, specialization and functionality". Then offices and services are moved, with an intervention on the institutional architecture.

At the same time, on 3 May, a "Curricular selection notice for a managerial post pursuant to article 110 paragraph 1 of the consolidated law on local authorities" was approved , but also a "Notice for full-time and permanent hiring, through a reserved selection of 2 managers (technical area)”. Important tasks that are assigned during the "vacation" of a metropolitan mayor.

«No one consulted us», explains the coordinator of the RSU of the metropolitan city, Pierpaolo Pia, «we became aware of the important organizational changes by reading the published documents». For now Pia only says: «We will carry out our in-depth assessments». Meanwhile, protests are mounting among the organization's employees.
