In May of last year, the former Cagliari coach, Walter Mazzarri, had received a letter of dismissal "for just cause" from the club, which was immediately challenged before the judges. Now it emerges that, in addition to that civil proceeding, there is a second criminal one - for defamation - resulting from the lawsuit presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Sardinian capital by the president of the rossoblù company, Tommaso Giulini.
In recent months, the investigators of the Public Prosecutor's Office have heard numerous witnesses to reconstruct the story and verify whether or not there has been defamation. At the center of the investigation, for now without suspects, there would be a conversation during which the president of the company would have been insulted by the former technician.

The civil judge, on the other hand, will have the task of clarifying whether the dismissal was for just cause or unlawful.
