A bomb scare was triggered at Cagliari's Poetto beach following the discovery of two presumed unexploded ordnances on the seabed near the police beach . The metal objects, located approximately three meters below the surface by the facility's lifeguard, prompted the Coast Guard to immediately intervene and issue an emergency order suspending swimming in the area.

The provision provides for the immediate closure of the body of water within a 20-metre radius of the point of the report , pending checks and clean-up by the bomb disposal squad.

Anchoring or stopping any vessel, scuba diving, or fishing are also prohibited in the area.
