His name was Venerato Sardu, the 75-year-old found dead ( here the news ) this evening in his home in via Ogliastra, in the Is Mirrionis district of Cagliari .
It was the daughter who called for help, who was unable to get in touch with her father. The firefighters arrived in the street of the popular district, accompanied by the 118 personnel, who broke down the door: the old man's body was on the ground, in front of the kitchen entrance.
To make it doubt that it could have been a natural death were some wounds that seemed incompatible with the fall.
For this reason the carabinieri were called, who arrived in force. Immediately afterwards, the coroner, Roberto Demontis, and the prosecutor on duty, Andrea Massidda, also arrived at the house in via Ogliastra.
Late at night, according to the few leaked elements, no lead can still be ruled out. Not even that of murder.
