He beat his elderly father and threw him out of the house. When the police arrived with the firefighters, who forced entry, he attacked them too. And after the military managed to block him , a story of violence and harassment that had been going on for at least two years emerged.

A forty-six-year-old from Cagliari was arrested on charges of mistreatment of family members, personal injury and resisting a public official. His victim was his father, aged 78: it was the elderly man who, last night, made the call to 112 that led to the intervention of the Carabinieri of the San Bartolomeo station, with the support of the Radiomobile Section.

The seventy-eight-year-old reported the ongoing assault. Arriving on the scene, the military immediately understood the gravity of the situation: his son had attacked him with a series of pushes and punches, in an escalation of violence that culminated with his father being driven away from the house , leaving him locked out of the house.

The soldiers, after the door was forced, managed to immobilize the subject and secure him, putting an end to the dangerous situation.

The father then filed a complaint, reporting episodes of mistreatment that had been going on for about two years.
