The boy was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital. A few minutes earlier he had taken refuge in a restaurant among set tables and terrified customers. The attacker was arrested shortly after and charged with attempted murder.
"It was a fight, one of these guys came in and the other wanted to come in to continue beating him," says Alberto Armeni, owner of the place, "we sent him away and then they continued."
"We are all women and sometimes it is difficult for us to go get the car, we go with each other" , adds Laura Sechi, owner of a restaurant. Iole Zedda, owner of the Zodiaco, is disconsolate: "We are used to it now, every night there is a fight, every night there is a chase: every night we have to fight with this situation".
