Nuraghi such as the Stonehenge site , which attracts one and a half million visitors every year. An achievable dream according to economist Luigi Guiso , professor at the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (Eief) who is participating in the international conference “Sardinia, the Island of Nuraghi” which ends tomorrow, Friday 17 November, at the Manifattura in Cagliari .

Archaeologists, economists, landscape architects, marketing experts, anthropologists and geneticists called to discuss the potential of the monuments of the Nuragic civilization from various aspects. It is an initiative of the association "Sardinia towards UNESCO" .

«The island, it has been said, is a unique case of an integral nuragic landscape. A base from which to promote the image of the Island in the world ." Meanwhile, the process for the recognition of the nuraghi as part of the UNESCO heritage continues. "All the conditions are there to reach the finish line," explained archaeologist Marcella Frangipane, who followed the entire process for the inclusion of an Anatolian site in the heritage protected by UNESCO. But two conditions must be respected: «The type of conservation, because there must be no fake reconstructions, and the involvement of the communities».
