Cagliari, April 16th is "Lions Day": the association meets the citizens at Monte Claro Park

The appointment with the Lions Day of Cagliari is approaching, organized for April 16 by all the Lions Clubs of Sardinia. Objective, it makes known the purposes of the organization and the concrete initiatives and projects carried out in the territories.

Appointment at Monte Claro Park . The areas of intervention are evaluated according to the major problems encountered globally and locally, in order to provide effective actions where it is most needed.

The event in Cagliari will focus on five themes: health prevention (with medical screening of eyesight, thyroid, cancer prevention, breast examinations, oral hygiene education and the study of nutrition problems, blood pressure control); environment (displays of trees and shrubs typical of the island, flower and nursery exhibitions); fight against poverty (fight against poverty and social hardship, collection of used glasses and medicines); culture (recovery and restoration of cultural assets); world of childhood and young people (games and entertainment, "Poster for peace" and "Poster for the environment" contests, young people and reading, moments of entertainment, the "Help Lavoro" services, "Lions Quest" and Long live Sophia."

The activities of the Lions will also be illustrated in support of cancer patients and those who have to undergo organ transplants, who can stay in the shelter in Cagliari managed by the Lions.

Access to all activities is free, only reservations are required to be made directly on site for activities with limited numbers.
