A woman of about 70 years old was hit this morning while crossing Viale Regina Margherita, in Cagliari .
The accident occurred near the Baptist Church, where there is no crosswalk . The driver, a Yaris driver, immediately stopped to call for help. The elderly woman suffered a serious head injury and was treated by emergency responders, who took her to Brotzu Hospital with a yellow code. Local police were also on the scene.
