At midnight, in Viale Marconi, in Cagliari , it is rush hour. As during the day, one of the most important arteries of the city lives at night.
Instead of the usual traffic, horns and frantic cars while queuing (in the morning) waiting to enter work, other cars, signal lights, flashing lights, machinery and workers work to pull the new asphalt between Is Pontis Paris and the first interchange to make inversion, after the headquarters of the fire brigade command.
The journey to Cagliari at night starts from the night construction sites (more and more often activated to avoid inconvenience during the day), crosses the world of the homeless assisted by the Red Cross (together with the social services of the Municipality) and those who sleep on the benches of the port in via Riva di Ponente, passes through the stories of those who stay at traffic lights only at night to beg ("because they earn more"), and ends shortly after 3 in the morning in the firefly area, in viale Elmas, northern suburbs, where a Nigerian woman has just received a customer.
