They found a wallet on the sidewalk and without thinking for a moment they handed it over to the police. The nice gesture took place in via Azuni in Cagliari : the protagonist was a young Nigerian couple. Inside the purse, in addition to cards and identity documents, also 400 euros in cash that would have been tempting to many. Instead the two foreigners immediately notified 113 and the agents then contacted the owner, a restaurateur.

"An out of the ordinary gesture that pleased me", explains Nicola Nurcis, owner of the Sa Domu de Peppinedda restaurant. "I know that they are waiting for a residence permit and are looking for work and accommodation. I count on helping them, as far as I can."

The restaurateur lost his wallet on his way to the bar. "When I noticed it, I tried to look for it in my room. I was about to block the cards and make a complaint, when the Police informed me. The money was not touched. And given the amount, and the state of probable necessity of the two boys, it was not taken for granted that he would be returned. It gives me hope: it means that there are many honest people around ", concludes Nurcis.
