Portovesme, worker injured on a ship: transported by helicopter to hospital

Moments of tension this morning around 7 on the main dock of Portovesme, in Sulcis, where a 58-year-old worker was injured while working inside the hold of a docked ship.
The firefighters of the Carbonia detachment intervened promptly with speleo-alpine-fluvial (SAF) techniques, descending into the hold to stabilize and recover the injured man. After the rescue operations, the worker was entrusted to the medical personnel present on site, who arranged for his transfer by helicopter to the hospital. Fortunately, the man's conditions do not appear to be life-threatening.
The Port Authority also intervened at the scene of the accident , responsible for checks and fulfilling its duties. The causes of the accident are still being examined by investigators.
