Emergency transfer from Cagliari to Milan , aboard an Air Force Falcon 900 , for a 49-year-old woman in imminent danger of life.

The patient, hospitalized at Brotzu in Cagliari, was boarded at Cagliari airport on a Falcon 900 belonging to the fleet of the 31st Wing of Ciampino to reach the Lombardy capital . From Milan Linate airport the patient, accompanied by a family member and a medical team, was transferred on board an ambulance to Niguarda Hospital for specialist care.

The crew of the 31st Wing subsequently resumed operational readiness service by returning to Ciampino airport, the permanent headquarters of the flight department.

The flight, requested by the Prefecture of Cagliari and authorized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, was promptly arranged and coordinated by the operations room of the Air Force , which has, among its tasks, that of activating and managing urgent medical transports, giving the take-off order to the aircraft that the Armed Forces keeps ready, 24 hours a day, in various bases, for this type of need.
