The promotion of the territory is all pink. The Civil Service project has started in Cabras which sees three young women involved in a local promotion program dedicated to citizens but in particular to visitors who go to the lagoon city for the holidays. The project, entitled "Sardinia, A Treasure To Discover And Value", aims to enhance and improve information and communication services , for greater protection and usability of the natural heritage of the wetlands and coastal areas of the Sinis. The activity takes place in the two active info-points in Cabras, one is located at the entrance to the town hall in Piazza Eleonora, where two volunteers work, the other in San Giovanni di Sinis. The third girl works in the latter, managed by a cooperative.

«We strongly wanted one of the info-points to be in a central position in the town, so that the visitor can easily receive all the information he needs - said the Councilor for Tourism, Carlo Trincas -. It is an indispensable service , which today makes young people participate in their own heritage and which we intend to structure more and more in order to make it a focal point of tourist reception". «The vast territory we inhabit has specific peculiarities which it is right to make known also through direct contact with the visitor - adds the Councilor for the Environment Carlo Carta -. The activity of the volunteers is focused on raising awareness of the care of the territory and respect for the sea ecosystem, with the delivery of forms and brochures in several languages".

Among the requests received by the volunteers of the universal civil service, who are supported by the operators of the Marine Protected Area of Sinis, there are also those relating to the events and activities that can be carried out in Cabras. Then there are the questions on the sites of culture and food and wine tradition. The info-point in Piazza Eleonora is open from Monday to Friday, from 9 to 13. In San Giovanni, in Pratza 'e sa festa, it is open every day from 9 to 13 and from 14 to 18. «The civil service - concludes the councilor for social policies Laura Celletti - has the advantage of allowing boys and girls to express themselves according to their own attitudes and get involved by discovering their own abilities. An opportunity to approach the world of work that prepares the new generations for conscious life choices".
