On June 29, a 14-year-old choir member fell four meters due to missing guardrails on the stage of the Tharros theater, where the concert inaugurating the summer season was about to begin. The matter was immediately investigated by the Oristano Prosecutor's Office, which opened an investigation coordinated by Prosecutor Silvia Mascia.

According to initial investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of Cabras and Oristano, the Labor Inspectorate, and the Local Health Authority's Workplace Safety Prevention Service, nine people are under investigation. They are Marco Fresi (coordinator of the Association of Local Authorities for Cultural and Entertainment Activities, which organizes events in Tharros promoted by the Mont'e Prama Foundation), Giovanna Luigia Peddio (legal representative of the company GRC srl), and Giuseppe Peddio (assembly manager for the company GRC). The list of suspects also includes Pietro Morittu (legal representative of the Association of Local Authorities), engineer Gianni Porcu (safety installation manager for the Association of Local Authorities), Alessio Lilliu and Matteo Piseddu (legal representatives of the company "Scenotecnica srl"). Fenisia Erdas (music teacher) and Gian Luigi Casula (orchestra conductor) are also listed.

The charges include serious bodily harm through negligence, violation of the rules on the protection of minors at work and failure to comply with the rules on workplace safety .

The young woman, who was hospitalized for several days at the Sassari hospital, where she also underwent delicate surgery on her arm, is now at home with her family. Due to multiple fractures, including a pelvic fracture, she is confined to a wheelchair to reduce her weight. The young woman's family is represented by lawyer Cecilia Fà: "On July 13th," she explains, "a unique technical assessment was held to determine the dynamics and causes of the child's fall and to determine whether any violations of workplace safety regulations were observed." The lawyer then explained what will happen next: "The post-operative period will be very long," she explained, "in fact, the severity of the injuries sustained will need to be determined. The parents, who have full confidence in the judiciary, are awaiting the results of the expert reports to determine whether the safety and protection regulations for their daughter were effectively complied with, hoping that accidents like this never happen again."
