Everyone is coming together to beautify the town for the feast of Saint Barbara, which began yesterday and will become one of the most eagerly awaited days tomorrow, Saturday, with masses, a procession, and a show in the square. The event will be broadcast live on Videolina starting at 5:00 PM, with commentary and testimonials by Massimiliano Rais and Alberto Masu. This year also marks the centenary of the church.

On the occasion of the great festival, which will last for 14 days, until June 21st, and is expected to bring countless people to Burcei, Mayor Marcello Malloru proposes: "The administration and the population must come together to bring prestige to Burcei. This is what we mean by community. With this initiative, which will not be the only one, we hope to reawaken everyone's civic sense."

"The goal," the mayor added, "is to activate the Active Citizenship Registry, where citizens, from children to the elderly, who wish to care for public assets by making themselves available to the community, can register and regularly carry out volunteer work. A special thanks goes to the festival committee, all the associations, municipal employees, and all the citizens who responded to our appeal in honor of Saint Barbara."

We invite you to actively participate in cleaning and maintaining streets, sidewalks, squares, public spaces, and green areas.

"A small gesture from each of us," the mayor concludes, "makes a big difference. Together, let's show Burcei's best side to those who come to visit us and to all of Sardinia. Decorum is respect, pride, and love for our town."
