Big party, tomorrow at the Monte Claro Park in Cagliari, for the “Lions Day”, an initiative that takes place all over the world with the aim of raising public awareness «on the themes and activities that the Lions carry out in each distinct territorial reality in support of the numerous difficult situations present in the territory, related to natural disasters and social health emergencies », we read in a press release. The event will begin at 9:30.

"On April 13, the squares will be colored with the yellow of our jackets and the most significant services will be represented with the intent of publicizing and enhancing the generosity of many Lions in helping local communities. The enthusiasm and involvement will help us explain who we are and what we do, demonstrating the importance of our actions in a tireless activity of solidarity without borders, which is based on mutual exchange and which broadens its horizons towards other cultures, promotion of the territory that leads us to become Builders of solidarity ".

Lions Day organized by the Lions Clubs of the VI and VII Districts of Sardinia belonging to District 108L (Lazio, Sardinia and Umbria).

In the Monte Claro Park, a large space will be given to health activities with dedicated spaces that allow for a variety of screenings for ophthalmology (pediatric amblyopia and diabetic retinopathy), diabetology, breast cancer, ultrasound of supra-aortic thrombi, nutritional education, dermatology, plastic surgery, oral hygiene, psychological health prevention, ENT and laryngology.

The opportunity to focus on very current issues such as the environment, culture, the fight against poverty, young people, health prevention .
