Gallura has two new centenarians: today Buddusò celebrates the century of Maria Sistu and, a few days ago, of her contemporary Giovanna Taglioli.

The mayor, Massimo Satta, on behalf of the municipal administration and the community, met them as a sign of gratitude for having contributed to building the values and history of the town. «The secret of this longevity still remains a mystery - said Satta - what is certain is that, in addition to the genetic heritage, the affection and love of the family has a great influence and this pushes us to take ever greater care of our loved ones elderly, a heritage of knowledge and wisdom that the community will always need."

Then, the mayor of Buddusò remembered two centenarians who passed away at the end of October: Maria Soro, who died two days after blowing out one hundred candles, and the most venerable, Giovanna Altana, who left the Buddusò community at the age of 102.
