A private club in the historic center of Sassari was closed yesterday by order of the provincial police commissioner Filiberto Mastrapasqua.

The measure was motivated by a series of incidents, including a recent brawl, and the fact that the place was frequented by criminals. A few days ago, the police had to intervene to quell a brawl involving 30/40 people.

The police commissioner has decided that the club will remain closed for 15 days, as required by article 100 of the consolidated law on public safety, and in addition suspending any license or authorization for the same duration.

The notification was handled by the staff of the Administrative Police Division of the Police Headquarters.
